My Transition Hours: Jonathan kicks as pirates reportedly hijack new book
The Punch reports that soft copies of the new book have been shared several times on social media especially WhatsApp.
However, the newspaper reports that a scan through the book online, which is in Portable Document Format (PDF), shows that the book has been edited with some inaccurate information while some vital information contained in the real book has been expunged.
The virtual copy has 254 pages while the real book is 194 pages.
Some chapters are also missing from the online version which Jonathanโs camp claim is fake.
Speaking with our correspondent on Thursday, Jonathanโs media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, urged members of the public to be wary of the misinformation contained in the online version of the book.
Eze said the book was being pirated by mischief makers.
He said the Jonathan camp would issue a formal statement soon to alert members of the public to the new development.
Meanwhile, Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima, has criticised former President Goodluckโs new book, My Transition Hours, barely a day after its public presentation in Abuja, describing it as โelementaryโ and containing โfictionโ.
Governor Shettima alleged that the former president lied about the issue of the Chibok schoolgirls, who were abducted in 2014. The Chibok issue was included in the content of the new book.
TRACKNEWS.NG gathers that the book focused on the former presidentโs last days in office in 2015 and controversies regarding his eventual acceptance of defeat.
