Delta State Residents Block House Of Reps Leader, Elumelu Over Bad Road, Neglect Of Constituents
Agency Report
He has represented the constituency for three terms accumulating to 12 years on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Some youths and residents in Delta State have been captured in a video blocking the convoy of Ndudi Elumelu, the House of Representatives member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency over alleged negligence and delayed execution of a road project.
Elumelu, who is the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, has represented the constituency for three terms accumulating to 12 years on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
However, in the video seen by SaharaReporters, the residents and youths of Anioma Community in Aniocha North Local Government Area of the state blocked Elumelu’s convoy at Idumogo and stopped him from passing through the town road over a claim that he had refused to fix the road.
A man whose face could not be seen in the video was heard saying “This is Elumelu’s convoy now in Idumogo. The youths have to stop him. People should comment, let us know what to decide to do. Let’s decide on what to do to him.
“Look at our youths. We are vibrant. They are dealing with the PA (Personal Assistant) now. Our road has been delayed. This is Elumelu’s convoy so that you people will know that we are not joking. People should support us.”
A mob could also be seen dragging Elumelu’s Personal Assistant in an attempt to beat him while the convoy of five cars including a Toyota Hilux was at standstill at the middle of the dilapidated community road.
