The Coordinator Ijaw monitoring Group (IMG) comrade Joseph Evah has faulted Nigeria Labour congress silence and non partant in the forthcoming Nationwide protest against Bad Governace and Recurrent Economic hardship that has devastated and claimed innocent lives of Nigerians.

Comrade Joseph Evah who is a Frontline activist for a better deal for Nigerians described the NLC as a betrayal to the struggle for a better Nigeria, He noted that when Nigerians were expectant that the Union will fight for the right of the citizens they were only concerned with Minimum wage, Neglecting pertinent issues like Inflation of commodities, Non functional Refineries, unemployment, Embezzlement of public funds, High electricity tariffs amongst others.

Nigerians have endured months of gruelling fuel shortages and hike in price after president Ahmed Tinubu ended the payment of subsidy on petrol amidst other horrible economic realities. As the crisis lingers on, Coordinator Ijaw monitoring Group (IMG) comrade Joseph Evah have accused the organised labour, especially the NLC and the Trade Union Congress, of not doing enough to bring pressure on the government to ensure the problem is resolved, as they did in the past, rather the NLC is concerned with Minimum wage that will not solve the problem at hand.

In what appeared as continued removal of wind from the sail of the action, several civil society groups from across the country has not only developed cold feet but withdrew from the planned protests. Due to the non-partant of the Nigerian labour congress in the forthcoming Nationwide protest this Comrade Joseph Evah said is shameful.

Awakening the Nigeria labour congress with a flog is the thought of Comrade Joseph Evah who believes the Union has disappointed Nigerians in face of horrific and suicidal economic conditions occasioned by the President Bola Tinubu administration policies.

The Nigerian Economy bitting hard on Nigerians and slowly plunging into a state of hyperinflation which might be likened to that of the Zimbabwean Economy under late President Robert Mugabe.

Comrade Joseph Evah is championing the call on Nigeria Labour congress who have been toothless to rise up to the occasion and lead the nationwide protest in pressing for a better Deal for Nigerians which is better than a 70 thousand naira minimum wage which will be romanced with another level of inflation on commodities.

Owing to their request, Coordinator Ijaw monitoring Group (IMG) comrade Joseph Evah has asked the inspector General of Police IGP Kayode Egbetokun to provide security on that day, saying Nigerians would be exercising their constitutional rights.
