NUJ receives remains of late Leadership Newspaper Kogi correspondent, Sam Egwu
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has received the remains of the late Elder Sam Augustine Egwu, Kogi State correspondent of Leadership Newspaper.
Receiving the remains at the NUJ Secretariat in Lokoja on Friday, the Kogi State NUJ Chairman, Momohjimoh Adeiza described the late Egwu as a peaceful man who had passion for the journalism profession.
He said the deceased will greatly be missed for his commitment and dedication to the journalism profession.
He prayed that God would comfort the family and give the journalists the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
Late Elder Egwu died last week in Lokoja, after a brief illness.
Aged 67, he will be laid to rest in his country home in Ankpa Local Government Area of Kogi State.
