NYSC urge Nigerians to Protect Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has called on Nigerians to cooperate with security agencies to ensure that all corps members deployed in their communities are adequately protected.
Tracknews media reports that the NYSC made the plea in response to the tragic murder of corps member Joel Grace Chalya, with registration number KD/23A/4386, who was serving in Kaduna.
In a statement, Eddy Megwa, the Director of Press and Public Relations, said the deceased, who had chosen to join fellow corps members for their morning jog following her morning devotion, was stabbed by hoodlums who also seized her phone.
“Corps members are our children, our sisters and brothers and they must be protected by all Nigerians,” the statement said.
He added that measures are kept in place to ensure the perpetrators of the act are apprehended and that justice will be served.
