Two Commissioners, SUBEB Boss Set to be Arraigned Over False Asset Declaration in Kaduna
Kaduna State Commissioners for Internal Security, Samuel Aruwan ; Finance, Shizzer Bada; and Executive Chairman of State Universal Basic Education (SUBEB), Tijjani Abdullahi, are set to be arraigned before the Code Of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) over alleged false declaration of asset.
This is contained in a statement issued by the Head of Press Unit in the Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB), Veronica Kato in Abuja.
According to statement, the three officials have been advised to step aside pending the hearing and determination of a motion filed on Oct. 21 and charges brought against them by the CCB.
She said that the order follows an ex parte application submitted by the CCB regarding allegations of violations of the CCB and Tribunal Act, CAP Cl LYN 2004.
Kato said that the bureau took action after receiving a petition against some senior Kaduna State Government officials for various infractions of the Code of Conduct for public officers.
She said that following comprehensive investigations, the CCB had approached the Tribunal to initiate trials.
The officials are to appear before the tribunal on the 7th of November, 2024.
