Niger Delta Leaders to Meet Tinubu Today

Leaders of the Niger Delta, under the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), are set to hold an interactive session with President Bola Tinubu this morning at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
PANDEF, founded by the late elder statesman Senator Edwin Clark, serves as the collective voice of traditional rulers, leaders, and stakeholders across the coastal states of the Niger Delta.
Following their meeting with President Tinubu, the delegation will later in the afternoon engage with Senate President Godswill Akpabio and National Assembly members from the South-South region.
The regional body’s Board of Trustees (BoT) is co-chaired by former governors of the old Rivers State and Akwa Ibom State, HRM Alfred Diete-Spiff and Obong Victor Attah, respectively. Ambassador Godknows Igali, a former federal permanent secretary and seasoned diplomat, serves as PANDEF’s National Chairman.
A senior member of PANDEF, speaking with Vanguard, confirmed the agenda:
“We held an expanded National Executive Council (NEC) meeting at Transcorp Abuja on Monday. This morning, we will meet with Mr. President at the Villa, and later in the afternoon, we will engage with the Senate President and all National Assembly members from the South-South.”
