NIGER DELTA UNIVERSITY JOINS THE REST OF THE NATION TO MARK NIGERIA AT SIXTY AND BAYELSA ANNIVERSARY.

TRACKING______The VIce Chancellor of NIger Delta University, Professor Samuel Edoumiekumo has felicitated the Bayelsa State Governor, Senator Douye Diri and his Deputy Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo on the dual occasion of the sixtieth anniversary of the nation and the twenty-fourth anniversary of Bayelsa state.

Professor Edoumiekumo said the national holiday set aside by the federal and state government to celebrate the independence anniversary and state creation is a time to appreciate our diversity as a nation.

The Vice Chancellor stated that the theme for this diamond celebration is apt, as being together at sixty is a pointer to the fact that there is unity in diversity and greater things can still be achieved.

He also congratulated Bayelsans on the celebration of twenty four years of statehood while praying for wisdom and strength for our leaders to pilot the affairs of the state to enviable heights.

The NDU Don encouraged Bayelsans and Nigerians at large to be Patriotic and continue to work together to foster unity in the Nation.
