Niger State CP seeks collaboration with stakeholders to combat crime

The Niger State Commissioner of Police, CP Ogundele J. Ayodeji has directed officers of the Command to identify critical stakeholders to work with, towards fighting crime and criminality to the barest minimum.

Ayodeji in his maiden meeting with senior officers and DPOs in Minna as the 36th CP of the state, urged them to be proactive by mapping out strategies to reduce crime.

He noted that Niger is the largest State in the nation, making it vulnerable to challenges of crime and criminality.

The CP harped on the need for intelligence gathering while directing DPOs to spread their tentacles for information within their area of responsibility as part of proactive measures.

Also, the CP, on behalf of the Inspector General of Police IGP Usman Alkali Baba, decorated six newly promoted senior officers in the Command.

The officers include DCP Shaibu A. Audu – Area Commander, K’gora, DCP Yakubu Mohammed – Area Commander, Bosso, DCP Taiwo A. Adedeji – 2i/c Operations Dept., ACP Nadikko B. Jibril – DFA SHQ, Minna, CSP Musa Ibrahim – DPO Kaffin-Koro Div., and CSP Ebimeunwa Kosipre – DPO Morris Div.

He advised the newly ranked officers that promotion is an act of assigning more roles and responsibilities to an officer
