Nigerians jubiliate as angry youths burn down Channels TV, TVC
TRACKING___Nigerians on all social media platforms are presently jubilating over the burning of TVC and Channels television station in Lagos.
According to Nigerian youths, these TV stations reported a filtered news following the Lekki Massacre that occured on Tuesday, 20th of October.
This was confirmed after TVC which is said to be owned by former Lagos state governor, Bola Tinubu, reported that the soldiers shot in the air to disperse the peaceful protesters and Channels on the other hand also stated specifically that the Soldiers were at Lekki Toll Gate to enforce the 24 hours curfew imposed by the Lagos State government.
Their reports on the sad incident is an evidence that these media houses were not transparent with the situation and they would rather favour the government than say the truth.
This however got Nigerian youths angry and it led to the destruction of their offices in Lagos.
@90sSophie wrote “TVC set on fire by angry mobs. #LekkiMassacre. According to 2baba line “Keep that fire burning, burning!”
@Omoissydeyhere wrote ” TVC down! Happiest I’ve been in a while.”
@opsyspice wrote “The same Fire that did it for TVC will do it for AIT and channels TV. Amen??”
@jibbyford_ wrote “TVC and Channels are both cancelled! If you’re not for us you’re definitely against us #LekkiMassacre”
@pst_iren wrote “Imagine the irony. Accusing Police of brutality (which they are guilty of by the way) and putting the lives of innocent civilian staff of TVC at risk to get back at Tinubu? Please stop!!!”
