Nigeria’s difficulties: CAN proclaims a national day of prayer
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
On Wednesday, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) declared Friday, November 4, 2022, as a national day of prayer to seek God’s intervention in Nigerian affairs.
Participants were also urged to meet at the Abuja National Christian Centre by 10:00 a.m. and directed all Christian organizations to mobilize their members across the country for the program in order to usher the country into a new era of peace, unity, safety, and overall prosperity.
CAN, in a statement issued by Archbishop John Daniel, Chairman of the National Prayer Day Committee, urged all Christians across Nigeria to seek God’s help in thwarting evil plans against the country.
“We consider this crucial in light of the fact that Nigeria is currently experiencing very difficult times, despite its ample natural, human, and material resources,” said the Archbishop.
“Nigeria is a vibrant and virile land full of color, wealth, and everything it takes to be one of the greatest nations on the planet.” Unfortunately, due to some inherent problems, the country has not yet reached where it should be.”
