Asa sings ‘Fire On The Mountain’ in front of Buhari at the NNPC relaunch
On Tuesday, July 19, President Muhammadu Buhari unveiled the new Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC).
The unveiling was organized to commemorate NNPC’s official transition from a wholly state-owned entity to a commercial private energy enterprise.
The musical performance at the relaunch, which took place at the presidential banquet hall in Abuja, was opened by Nigerian singer Asa.
She sang her hit song “Fire on the Mountain” in front of the President and other dignitaries.
A video of Asa’s performance at the event is trending, and Nigerians believe it is a message aimed at drawing President Buhari’s attention to Nigeria’s grave security and economic challenges.
