No terror attack in Kano – Police

By Adeleye Kunle
The news of a terror attack in a community in Kano making the round has been debunked as fake by the Kano State Police Command on Wednesday, November 2, 2022.
Track News recalls that the news of the terror attack emanated from an online publication.
However, a statement by SP Abdullahi Haruna, Kano Police Public Relations Officer, avowed that there was no terror attack.
Haruna, describing the story as untrue and malicious, attributed it to fifth columnists who wanted to disrupt the peace and stability currently being enjoyed in the state.
SP Haruna enjoined Kano residents to go about their normal and legitimate businesses without fear, adding that the command had already mapped out strategies to ensure adequate security in the state.
The police and all sister agencies, he said, are battle-ready to resist any attempt by the terrorists to destabilise the state
