Northern Christians express their opposition to the Muslim-Muslim ticket — Oibe

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports.
Sunday Oibe, spokesman for Nigeria’s Northern Christian Association in 19 northern states and Abuja, said yesterday that Christians have spoken out against the party’s Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket in 2023.
“You can’t beat a child and expect him not to cry,” he explained.
Oibe, the Public Relations Officer for Northern CAN, cited an internet warning from a trending unknown contributor that “former interim National Chairman of APC, Bisi Akande is from Osun state.”
Iyiola Omishore, the APC’s current National Secretary, is from Osun state.”
“APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, was from Osun state, as were Femi Fani-Kayode, Deputy National Chairman of APC, current governor of Osun State who is Tinubu’s cousin,” Oibe said, emphasizing that the party still lost the governorship election to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
“Osun State has these structures, and we still lost the election.” We can expect more wahala in 2023 if this isn’t a strong enough signal for the APC to stand up and do the right thing. People’s voices and votes are important.
“How can politicians in this part of the world believe that equity, justice, and fairness have no place in politics other than the money they have amassed from the collective patrimony of the people?”
“We have always warned that the next general election will show Nigeria’s political class that “our mumu don do, “and that there will be a significant shift from the past, when politicians rode Nigerians like sheep and expected them to remain silent for four years or more. “We’ll see what they do differently this time,” Elder Oibe said.
When asked if he was one of the North Eastern Nigerian elders who had given the APC an ultimatum to withdraw its Muslim-Muslim ticket or risk losing the 2023 elections, Elder Oibe threatened the APC with fire and brimstone for failing to find a Christian northerner to serve as vice presidential candidate.
“Whoever seeks equity must do so with clean hands,” he added.
