NPFL: Nikyu relieved after Nasarawa United ends winless streak

Nasarawa United Bala Nikyu can’t hide his excitement after his side recorded their first win in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.
The Solid Miners defeated struggling Kwara United 2-0 at the New Jos Stadium on Saturday.
Former junior international King Osanga opened scoring for the hosts on 10 minutes, while Chinedu Ohanachom added the second four minutes before the hour mark.
The Lafia club recorded just one draw and six defeats from their previous outings.
“It’s never our wish to push the league to this extent before we start getting results, however, God’s time is the best,” Nikyu told the club’s media.
“It’s a good turnaround for us, and hopefully, God has opened the doors for us.
“This win is a huge morale boost for us to work more.”
Nasarawa United will be away to Bendel Insurance in midweek
