OBA The paramount ruler of Ijebuland, Sikiru Kayode Adetona, has praised Globacom for hosting a spectacular 2022 edition of the Ojude Oba Festival.
Adetona, who spoke at the event in Ijebu-Ode on Monday, said the company’s sponsorship of the festival since 2006 has added significant value to the annual cultural carnival.
He mentioned that Globacom’s festival promotion, royal banquet, music show, and beauty pageant made this year’s edition spectacular. Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr., the company’s Chairman, he said, is an icon who promotes Nigeria’s value systems and cultures.
Mr Yomi Ogunbamowo, Globacom’s representative at the festival, stated that the company’s continued collaboration with the Ojude Oba Festival Committee demonstrates its commitment to celebrating the best of Nigerian culture and tradition and preserving them for posterity.
“We believe in providing platforms for our country’s diverse peoples to fully express their cultures and traditions.” With the advent of globalization, this has become even more convenient. Our cultures are an important part of our history, and they must be preserved.”
