Official price of NPK fertilizer in Yobe has been set at N13,000.

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Yobe Governor Mai Mala Buni has set the official price of NPK fertilizer for the 2022 cropping season at N13,000.
Buni warned that the commodity should only be sold to farmers in a speech at the commodity’s launch on Monday in Damaturu.
“Let me warn you that the government will not tolerate any act of deception or sabotage.”
“Government officials in charge of selling and distributing the commodity must ensure equitable sales and distribution to the 17 LGAs,” he stated.
Farmers were urged not to sell the subsidized commodity, according to the governor.
He suggested that they grow crops and make a living off of the input.
He stated that the state and development partners were collaborating to perfect a partnership for the Innovative Strengthening of Small-holder Farmer Capabilities Programme’s implementation.
Buni thanked the World Bank, the Federal Government, and the African Union Development Agency-New Partnership for African Development for their contributions to agricultural development in the state.
Dr. Mairo Amshi, the Commissioner for Agriculture, lauded Buni for prioritizing agriculture by providing farmers with subsidized fertilizer, agrochemicals, and farm machinery.
