Ogidi Calls for Arrest of Ikwerre LG Chairman for Threatening Gov. Fubara

In a shocking development, Ikwerre Local Government Chairman, Samuel Nwanosike, has allegedly insulted and threatened the sitting Rivers State Governor Fubara.
Reports suggest that Nwanosike went as far as calling the governor a fool and making several threats against his life.
The youth leaders from the Ijaw nation have expressed their deep concern over these actions.
Emphasizing that Governor Fubara represents not only Rivers State but also the Ijaw nation, they condemned Nwanosike’s behavior.

A youth leader, Hon. Ogidi Ben Bara, has taken a firm stance on the issue, calling for immediate legal action.
Hon. Ogidi Ben Bara has officially written to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) and the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, urging them to arrest Samuel Nwanosike.
“We are officially writing to the IGP, the Commissioner of Police of Rivers State, and other security agencies to immediately arrest the chairman of Ikwerre Local Government before any unexpected incident occurs. Nobody knows the mind of the governor,” Ogidi stated.
Nwanosike’s tenure as chairman is set to end in June. Despite this, he has boldly declared his intention to resume his position after his tenure expires, further aggravating the situation. The youth leaders believe such statements alone justify his arrest.
The escalating tensions highlight the serious nature of the threats posed to Governor Fubara and underscore the urgent need for intervention to maintain peace and order in the region.
