Okoroma Clan Appreciates Gov. Diri former Aide Acknowledging Support in Bayelsa Governorship Election
Political Stakeholders, Traditional Rulers, Women and Youth Groups from Okoroma Clan in Nembe Local Government Area have appreciated the leader of the Prosperity House Okoroma, Nyenye Kuro Matthias, immediate past Technical Adviser on NDDC to the Governor of Bayelsa State, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator Douye Diri, for coming back to thank them for massively voting for the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the November 11th, 2023, governorship election.
The people of Okoroma Clan expressed this appreciation during a thank-you-tour organized by the Prosperity House Okoroma led by Nyenye Kuro Matthias over the weekend saying that this is the first time a supporter of a governorship candidate is coming back after an election to thank them for casting their vote for Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State, and his deputy, Senator Lawrence Ehwrudjakpo who were equally their choice.
The high point of the thank-you-tour which lasted for three days was the symbolic decoration of the leader of the Prosperity House Okoroma, Nyenye Kuro Matthias, with wrappers by women of Okoroma Clan, citing the construction of a model secondary school building for Okoroma clan as a mark of more prosperity for the people in the Diri-led Prosperity administration.
In the same vein, the OBENEMA OF OLOGOAMA (OTU-OKOROMA), HRH ALAGBA TRUST BEGOLD, OKOROMA VIII, Obenema of Akakumama Town community, H.R.H Ebinimi Don Solomon, Ovoh the 3rd, and AMAYANABO OF BASUO\TEREKE, H.R.H Kombo Benjamin also symbolically decorated the leader of the Prosperity House Okoroma, Nyenye Kuro Matthias, with wrapper for coming back to embark on a thank you tour.
Meanwhile, the traditional rulers in their different comments urged the leader of the Prosperity House Okoroma, Nyenye Kuro Matthias, to remind the governor of the Ogbia-Okoroma road construction as promised during the campaigns.
Also, during the tour which covered Alagoa Tereke, Teingi Tereke, Basuo Tereke, Adikiama , Iwokiri, Ologoama, Dorguewoama, Ibo-ama, Ekperiama, Eminama,Ombukiri, and Akakumama Communities, the people congratulated the Governor of Bayelsa State His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri and His Deputy Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor for the victory during the polls and inauguration for 2nd term in office, expressing optimism
that the state will witness more people oriented projects that will further improve the fortunes of the people.
Consequently, the Prosperity House Okoroma, rounded off the thank-you-tour with a thanksgiving service with the theme “THE FAITHFUL GOD, DEUTERONOMY 7:9”, at the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), Okoroma in Akakumama town.
While ministering, the Resident Pastor of the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) Okoroma, PST. Nwaogu Ifeanyichukwu, advised political office holders should always endeavor to use whatever political platform God has given them to uplift the life of the people they serve and not to use it destroy them or create crisis in the land.
In order to match words with action, at the reception ground shortly after the church service, the Prosperity House Okoroma distributed wrappers to the women, from the various communities as part fulfilment of its promises made to the women earlier on.
Speaking shortly after the event, the leader of Prosperity House Okoroma told newsmen that the essence of the Thanksgiving was to thank God for the protection of his life, and members of the house, reflecting back to his unlawful arrest, detention and several assassination attempts 10 years ago for demanding monies owed to him when the powers that be as at then unlawfully terminated all his sources of livelihood in a day for political persecution.
“We are also thanking God because my livelihood was cut-shot in a day with the termination of all the jobs I was handling and even though they refused to pay monies they owed me for the past 13 years, God was still faithful. Furthermore, we are thanking God for making the election peaceful in Okoroma Clan and for the victory of His Excellency, Sen. Douye Diri and His Deputy Sen. Lawrence Ewhrudjakpor despite the treats to the life of their supporters.”
