Okowa, Ortom begs Wike over PDP Presidential Primary thorny issues
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of the Peoples Democratic Party has urged his Rivers State counterpart, Governor Nyesom Wike, to seek genuine reconciliation on the party’s thorny issues.
After a closed-door meeting with Benue state Governor Samuel Ortom at the Benue state government lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, Okowa revealed this to journalists.
He explained that the delay in meeting with Governor Wike was due to his overseas trip, and that now that he has returned, the party and its presidential candidate will do everything in their power to resolve their differences with him.
The best way forward, according to Ortom, is to follow his advice on the need to appease Rivers State Governor.
Ortom stated that he fully supports efforts to reconcile with Wike for the sake of the party’s overall interests, stating that all hands must be on deck in the run-up to the 2023 general elections.
