The Oodua Peoples Congress, OPC, has berated Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister over his comment on notorious Fulani warlord, Isikilu Wakili.

OPC members had over the weekend captured Wakili in Ibarapa area of Oyo State and handed him over to the police.

In its reaction, the state Police Command had confirmed that the notorious warlord was in its custody.

But reacting, Fani-Kayode had alleged that the old man captured was not the wanted Wakili.

Fani-Kayode had alleged that Wakili was still at large and killing innocent people.

However, the Chairman of OPC in Oyo State, Rotimi Oguntade has challenged the former minister to produce the real Fulani warlord.

Oguntade said Fani-Kayode’s claim was false and misleading.

He cautioned the former minister against trying to cause disunity in the Southwest.

In a statement, Oguntade said: “He lives in Abuja, romancing with the North, yet he was the first to refute the claim that the kidnapper was not Wakili. Where did he get his information?

“With his untenable claim, I know and I am sure that the former minister is doing the bid of his paymasters, who are majorly from the North. He is the undisputed spokesperson of any politician that is ready to feather his nest.

“He should be warned to stop drumming the beat of disunity in Yorubaland. Fani-Kayode was one of the few people that called and congratulated our leader, the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams on Monday, on the success of the operation of the OPC, and the following day, he twisted the story refuting the claim that the man apprehended wasn’t Wakili.”
