Oshiomhole relocates APC secretariat as Court bars APC, INEC from conducting primaries
TRACKING___The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has relocated its state secretariat.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was notified of the development by the APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
In the letter he personally signed by Oshiomhole dated 29th May 2020, and addressed to INEC Chairman, said the new address of the state party is now 16 Igwiwiyise street, Off Airport Road, Benin City.
The National Chairman equally notified the Commissioner of Police in the state and other security bodies.
Meanwhile, Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from conducting any mode of primary in Edo state by a federal high court in Benin, on Monday.
This is following a suit filed by aggrieved members of the party who are against the proposed direct primary election method adopted by the National Working Committee as the method for conducting the parties primary in the state.
Similarly, the governor, Godwin Obaseki has approved the venue for the People’s Democratic Party primary in the state scheduled to hold on the 19th and 20th of June, 2020.
