Osun Guber: ‘It Will Take PDP 30 Years To Recover From Defeat’ – Gboyega Oyetola
Ahead of the Osun State Governorship election scheduled for July 16, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Gboyega Oyetola has boasted about defeating the opposition People’s Democratic Party.
Speaking during a visit to Ila-Orangun in Ila Local Government Area on Friday, Oyetola said it will take PDP thirty years to recover from the shock it will receive due to the defeat.
He also expressed optimism about the completion of his eight years tenure as governor of Osun State.
Oyetola further advised the opposition parties to prepare for governance rather than contesting and urged the electorate not to be swayed by their actions.
He said: “It will take the PDP 30 years to recover from the shock it will receive due to the defeat”
“They will be going about with money, but do not be swayed by their actions.”
“This authority is in my hand, I won’t relinquish it because your votes will assist me to retain it. My eight years in power as governor is sure by the grace of God.”
Reacting to the statement, the Osun PDP Director of Media and Strategy, Oladele Oluwabamiji, said the statement credited to the governor was capable of causing chaos.
He said: “The statement was capable of causing chaos and it is reckless, to say the least. Osun people will decide his fate on July 16”
