Owen Hargreaves slams Man United stars after 4-0 defeat to Brentford
By Adeleye Kunle
Owen Hargreaves, a former Manchester United midfielder, has slammed the team following their 4-0 defeat at the hands of Brentford, Track News reports.
Hargreaves was enraged with the team, but defended goalkeeper David de Gea, who admitted to being the cause of the loss.
The Spain International goalkeeper made two huge errors to give Brentford a 2-0 lead, but Hargreaves believes it is the fault of United’s outfield players.
For the first time in 30 years, Manchester United is at the bottom of the Premier League table.
“They made some errors, and the goals were poor,” Hargreaves admitted on Premier League Production.
“There was no struggle to re-enter the game, no tackling, no aggression.”
“Erik ten Hag is a fantastic coach who did an outstanding job at Ajax, but these two games have not gone as planned.”
“I’m not sure how you’re going to turn this around so quickly.” “My confidence has simply vanished.”
“Don’t blame [David de Gea] entirely,” Hargreaves added.
‘Yes, he made a huge error, but there is still time to get back into the game and fight back.’
