Oyetola’s wife’s convoy was attacked, injuring helpers
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
In Osun State, suspected thugs attacked the governor’s wife Kafayat Oyetola’s convoy on Friday night.
As the thugs and the security personnel attached to the convoy engaged in gunfire, the event that happened at the market area of Owode-Ede, Ede south local government area at around 8:10 PM produced tension.
According to Ayo, an eyewitness, “The convoy was driving through the market when a vehicle suddenly blocked the route that the convoy was passing, and the thugs who were already in the area started to throw stones at the caravan.” They used deadly weapons to attack the caravan, and the agents began firing into the air.
Because one of the security guards shouted that they had been hit, some of them got hurt.
“They broke the vehicles’ windshields. The act sparked fear among the neighborhood. It is extremely regrettable.
Iluyomade Oluwatumise, the media assistant to the wife of the Oyetola, verified the event when called but would not say how many security personnel were hurt.
“All I can tell you is that no lives were lost in the tragedy,” she stated. I’m not sure how many security personnel were hurt, but some of them who were affiliated to the convoy suffered various degrees of damage.
