PAP Boss to Niger Delta Youths, Stay Away from the Protest

Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP),
Dr Dennis Burutu Otuaro has
directed all Leaders and beneficiaries of the presidential amnesty program and other youths of the region to disassociate themselves from any planed nationwide protest.
Dr. Dennis Otuaro described the organisers of the protest as “faceless”, emphasizing that the organisers have no interest of Niger Delta in their plans
According to him, the August 1 nationwide protest is targeted at President Bola Tinubu and Senator President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, to create an ungovernable environment for the military to take over.
He advised the youths of the region that any act that would make Niger Delta region to lose their 13 per cent oil derivation, which the region had been clamouring for would be detrimental to the people.
In his past, the national chairman of phase 2 leaders forum, Ibena Rufus Salvation,
called an emergency meeting at Domaris Garden and suites Hotel, yenagoa Bayelsa state capital where all leaders of the three segments phase 1,2 and 3 were present in the meeting.
Mr. Ibena read the communique and leader Monday Excell representing phase 1, and Stephen Okiemo representing phase 3.
The communique, “We the entire leaders and beneficiaries of the presidential amnesty program PAP has dissociated ourselves from the plan Nationwide protest tag #endbadgovernance because our Leader has spoken, the Administrator of the Presidential amnesty program, Dr Dennis Burutu Otuaro, who we respect so much.”
“Our leader and Boss Dr. Dennis Otuaro has also directed and instructed all of us, that we should not join any faceless planned nationwide protest”. And he further directed that, we shall work closely with secretary and agencies to monitor any group or persons who may want to hijack the Protest.
