PDP Crisis: Tambuwal Didn’t Step Down as Chair of the Governors Forum, DG

Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
According to the People’s Democratic Party, Aminu Tambuwal, the governor of Sokoto, has denied retiring as the head of the Governors Forum.
Earlier on Thursday, there were rumors that Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo, had succeeded Tambuwal as the forum’s chairman.
Tambuwal will continue in his position, according to a statement from the director-general of the forum, C.I.D. Maduabum, while the party works to find a solution to the problem.
According to the statement, “This is to inform the general public and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party that, contrary to some media reports, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Governors Forum (PDP-GF), Rt Hon Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, CFR, has not resigned as Chairman of the Forum.
“Members of the PDP Governors Forum are resolving any contentious Party-related issues behind the scenes.
He announced that the Forum would shortly have a meeting in order to accomplish this.
