Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports

The Lagos State Parking Authority recently implemented a levy on setback parking in the state. The Peoples Democratic Party and other stakeholders have responded.

It was previously reported that the LASPA sent a letter to the food and snack company Nellies alerting it that it had been charged N290,000 for the parking lot outside the firm’s compound. Each of the three parking lots was to cost Nellis N80,000 year, plus a N50,000 non-refundable administrative processing fee, according to the letter.

Adebisi Adelabu, the general manager of LASPA, revealed on the organization’s website that the government was to blame for the setback.

Lagos will use technology to improve financial transactions
Sanwo-assistant, Olu’s Sanyaolu, stated, “A setback is the area between your perimeter fencing and the walkway or the road, as the case may be. I am certain of re-election,” in reference to Wednesday’s funeral. Anyone claiming to be the legal owner of a setback around their property must present formal documents from the recognized MDA in Lagos State, as well as the property’s certificate of its traffic impact assessment, to the authorities.

In contrast, the Lagos State PDP on Friday denounced the parking fee as “exorbitant” and a move to “milk the people of the state to finance the egotistical ambition of one guy who had taken the state and its people by the neck.”
