PDP : Four Absent As Eight Governors Hold Crucial Meeting
Ahead of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, the governors under the platform of the party, on Wednesday held a crucial meeting to determine the emergence of a substantive National Chairman.
Since Sen. Iyorcha Ayu was removed, Amb. Umar Damagum, who is the deputy National Chairman, North, took over in Acting capacity.
This development made some stakeholders in the party to go to court to challenge the rational behind the continued stay of Damagum.: Four Absent As Eight Governors Hold Crucial Meeting.
Recall that Ayu had gone to court challenging his removal, a development that had stalled his replacement.

However, Ayu had withdrawn his case from court, paving way for the North Central to complete the tenure of the region.
Eight of the PDP governors have for the past four hours in a crucial meeting over the development in the party.
The governors are that of Rivers, Bayelsa,
Akwa-Ibom, Adamawa, Bauchi, Delta and
Edo and Enugu (Deputies) states.
The governors, who didn’t attend the meeting are that of Osun, Oyo, Zamfara, Plateau and Taraba states.
