PDP guber ticket not for sale, says Orbih

South-South Zonal National Vice Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dan Orbih, has restated that the 2024 PDP governorship ticket is not for the highest bidder.
Orbih spoke in Benin at a meeting with leaders of Legacy PDP from the three senatorial districts. The zonal chairman noted that for the main opposition party to retain and win the governorship election, the coalition must produce a candidate better than Governor Godwin Obaseki group’s choice. He said: “I have heard stories of people boasting that they are prepared to spend money to compromise the process of nominating our candidate.
“By the grace of God and your support, the Edo State PDP ticket is not for sale. It is not for the highest bidder. On this we stand.” He said the party must produce a candidate that will address the challenges of the state and identify with the people and make Edo State great again.
Orbih added: “The legacy coalition is built on very strong and solid foundation of love and unity of purpose, where efforts and contributions of our members are recognised and honoured.”
