PDP National Working Committee Rejects Ayade’s 200 million Naira to Influence State Exco List

TRACKING_______As the saying goes, tough times calls for tougher measures, this is the strategy being employed by the Cross River state governor and members of his team as they seek to reclaim their statutory roles and build on their prestige as the plans for 2023 is already on the way.
With all indications, all is not rossy in the camp of the Cross River state Governor,Senator professor Ben Ayade as its been reported that he has had sleepless nights since the announcement of the Ward and local government list of the People’s Democratic Party.
The said list is believed to have been influenced by an ex governor of the state and some national assembly members as a payback to the governor’s actions even as they accused him of playing anti party politics and undermining the power of the state working committee.
Recently, trouble broke out when his supposed loyalist and Director General,Due Process office mr Alphosius Egba was tipped to be the next Party chairman in the state even though the more experienced and vasatile Venatius Ikem has indicated interest to run for same position.
Aside that, many other party chieftain have cried fowl with the choice of position and how juicy and flamboyant opposition members live in the state ,as imagined an uproar.
In a Facebook post by one of the governor’s fierced critic, Ifere Paul on Facebook,he disclosed how the governor and his camp is willing to pay as much as 200 million naira to influence the list to his favour in order to accommodate his ambition in 2023.
1. We the Concerned PDP Youth Forum in Cross River State wish to salute your resolute doggedness to do the right thing in spite of the prevailing pressure from the Cross River government to thwart your efforts.
2. Congratulations.
3. It may also interest you to note that the Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade chartered a private jet to Abuja yesterday to begin the process of bribing stakeholders, leaders of the party, especially the panel that organized the congresses in Cross River State.
4. Governor Ben Ayade in a desperate bid, called Barrister Hassan Yakubu, the erstwhile Chairman of the Congresses Committee and Deputy National Organizing Secretary of the party, 3 times, which Barrister Hassan later answered to tell the governor that he was in the village.
5. The governor in desperation told Barrister Hassan to send in his account details through Amina Arong, Deputy National Auditor of the party and SA to the Gov on National Contact so that he will send money for him and his panel members so that they could change the result of the congresses from the one already published..
6. Furthermore, Amina Arong has apologized to Barrister Hassan for the way they conducted themselves, especially events that happened at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Calabar. She has promised to make it up to Barrister Hassan over their lack of providing adequate “Ghana Must Go Bags”.
7. We are therefore calling on the PDP NWC to be vigilant over this latest development, occasioned by Governor Ben Ayade desperation, so as not to tarnish their reputation.
8. We will keep monitoring the situation and will continue to update the National Secretariat of the party.
9. Thank you.
