PDP Reschedules 99th National Executive Committee Meeting to May 15, 2025

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the postponement of its 99th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, originally scheduled for March 13, 2025. The meeting will now take place on May 15, 2025.
According to a statement signed by the party’s National Secretary, Rt. Hon. S.K.E. Udeh Okoye, the decision to reschedule the meeting was made after extensive consultations with party leaders, stakeholders, and relevant party organs. Among those consulted were the Board of Trustees (BoT), the PDP Governors’ Forum, and the PDP National Assembly Caucus.
The postponement is attributed to the need to conclude outstanding congresses at the zonal, state, local government, and ward levels. Additionally, party leaders decided that more time was required for further consultations to ensure a smooth and well-organized NEC meeting, particularly in light of other planned party activities.
The statement urged all NEC members to take note of the new date and adjust their schedules accordingly. The party’s leadership expressed regret for any inconvenience the change may cause its members.
The NEC meeting is a crucial gathering where key decisions about the party’s operations and future strategies are made. It provides a platform for leaders and stakeholders to deliberate on important political and organizational matters. The postponement indicates that the party is prioritizing internal preparations and consensus-building ahead of the rescheduled meeting in May.
