Peter Obi Congratulates Atiku, Advises Supporters To Refrain From Attacking Candidates

Presidential aspirant, Peter Obi, has cautioned his supporters to refrain from attacking the personality of other aspirants and candidates.
Obi issued this warning on Sunday via his Twitter handle. Expressing concern over the development, Obi said it has come to his notice that some of his supporters were casting aspersions and attacks on other aspirants and candidates.
Obi, who thanked his supporters for their unflinching support, urged them to “imbibe the spirit of sportsmanship” and avoid name-calling his competitors.
He noted that elections should be democratic, saying supporting political aspirants and candidates does not need to breed enemies.
The former governor of Anambra said,
“It has been brought to my attention, and I have also observed that some of my numerous supporters are making personal attacks on other aspirants/candidates.
“The common goal is to make Nigeria better. Elections are a democratic contest and need not be adversarial,” he said.
