Peter Obi Discusses Alleged Deal With Atiku.
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
A contract to support Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for president, has been denied by Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party.
As previously reported by Track News, Keyamo used his Twitter account to disseminate a news that claimed Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP), has agreed to make way for Atiku Abubakar, the candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He further mocked the “Obidient movement,” claiming that it was being led in the wrong direction by the former governor of Anambra State.
Othe LP presidential candidate spoke on Wednesday through his Director General of Campaign Organization, Doyin Okupe, and refuted the accusations, calling them wholly untrue.
Okupe added that the former governor of Anambra state was “far ahead” of every other presidential contender in the nation and could not thus give up his bid for the presidency in favor of anyone.
He urged Obi’s supporters to remain focused on the mission to “take back” Nigeria while denouncing the reports as cheap, self-serving, and diversionary misinformation.
“I thus absolutely dispute the false claim that Peter Obi has formed any arrangement with Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate, with regard to the 2023 Presidential elections,” Okupe stated.
Obi is well ahead of all other presidential contenders in the nation “by the Grace of God and the huge acceptance and support of the Nigerian people, home and abroad, and especially the youths.
He cannot, obviously, be in negotiations with any other contenders or their parties who are less well-liked.
Okupe continued, “Members of the public are hereby warned to disregard this cheap, self-serving and diversionary propaganda.
