Peter Obi Supporters: We’ll Take Over Grassroots when done with Social Media

By Ibekimi Oriamaja
Ambassador Churchill Enyia, National Coordinator of the Peter Obi National Support Group (PONSG), has stated that after conquering Social Media, supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate will soon take over the grassroots.
At the Inauguration Ceremony of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) chapter of PONSG in Abuja on Saturday, Ambassador Enyia stated that no Nigerian doubts that Obi supporters have taken over social media.
He went on to say that they were now mobilizing the grassroots, or rural residents, for the upcoming task.
The Coordinator told FCT Executives and supporters that they were previously members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), but had to join Obi “because he is the symbol of change” that Nigerians want, and that the grassroots, including social media, will soon feel the impact of the Obi campaign.
He also mocked those who claimed the Labour Party lacked structure, saying, “The Labour Party’s structure is unemployed youths, Nigerians who are hungry and tired of this administration.”
“Nigerians are tired of the status quo and want to see things change.” Many people who are not typically interested in politics have joined us. Our support group includes both the North East Academic community and the South South Academic community.
“We are moving to the grassroots; that is our next assignment; we have captured social media; you know, the Nigerian middle and working classes are all Obi-Dient.”
“We are now concentrating our efforts on rural residents, which is where we are heading.” Some people in the villages are unable to distinguish between party logos; this is our task now, and by the grace of God, we will succeed.”
“As we work for Obi, let us look at the situation in the country, the battered economy, hunger, poverty, insecurity, and the free fall of the Naira; as we do that, it will nudge us to work for Obi, because we believe he has what it takes to change the situation,” he added.
The ceremony’s chairman, Dr Chris Chukwukamuo, stated that the youths are now ready to take over the country. Youth can no longer wait to be leaders of tomorrow.
“The PVC is extremely important, and young people should disregard those who claim their votes are invalid.” Votes are important, which is why other parties buy them. Vote buying is booming. Politicians believe and understand that votes matter “He elaborated.
