Peter Obi: Whoever leaked audio probably used security agencies, telecoms staff – Expert

A Nigerian cyber security expert based in South Africa, Charles Awuzie has alleged that the leaked audio tape between Peter Obi of the Labour Party, LP and Bishop David Oyedepo could be traced to state-sponsored surveillance of the opposition.
The cyber security expert claimed the person who leaked the audio probably used the security agencies and staff of the telecommunication companies.
His statement is contained in a post via his verified Facebook page on Sunday.
Awuzie advised Obi to stop using a particular communication network, which he said its chief executive officer had close ties with the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
He wrote, “Most uninitiated Obidients are praying for #YesDaddy audio to turn out fake. But those of us who understand the implication of state-sponsored surveillance of opposition in the international community are praying for it to be true. This is the dumbest APC propaganda which can become the major evidence against Tinubu.
“First, the call wasn’t recorded by either of the parties because you can’t record a phone from the same device while the call is still connecting. So whoever leaked the audio probably used the security agencies and staff of the telecommunication companies. Already we know that MTeeN’s CEO is Pro-INEC and Pro-Agbado. I warned about this too. If Peter Obi is still using that network, he should change ASAP.
“By establishing that the leak of opposition leaders’ calls are linked to the ruling party, the international community will mark such governments as suppressive and tyrant.”
