Police Confirm Arrest Of Three Suspected Kidnappers Stripped N*ked While Attempting To Abduct Lagos Car Dealer
The arrest of three suspected kidnappers at Ebute Igbogbo road, Ikorodu in Lagos State, has been confirmed by the Nigeria Police Force.
In a video which surfaced online on Wednesday, SaharaReporters saw that the suspects attempted to kidnap a car dealer in the area and their mission was foiled by the concerned youths who quickly intervened.
The suspects were seen being stripped n*ked in the viral video as they begged the residents to have mercy on them.
Reacting to the video, the State Police Spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that the three suspects had been arrested and currently in police custody.
He identified them as Taiwo Olayinka aged 30, Azeez Sodiq aged 33 and Saheed Moonstruck aged 23.
He wrote: “Three suspects, Taiwo Olayinka 30, Azeez Sodiq 33 and Saheed Moonstruck 23, have been in our custody since yesterday, shortly after the incident, and efforts are on to arrest the remaining two suspects that escaped. Meanwhile, investigation has commenced.”
“The three arrested are the suspected thieves or kidnappers (investigation would tell which),” he added.
In July, SaharaReporters reported how the Lagos State Police Command foiled a kidnap attempt, killing nine suspects in the Ladipo area of the state.
Personnel of the police command also recovered four AK-47 rifles during the operation oneThursday night in July.
It was learnt that the armed kidnap gang was overpowered by the police personnel around Ajao, Okota, Isolo and Ladipo areas of the state.
