Police in Osun hunting for persons who published fake wanted notice

The Osun State Police Command on Friday ordered the arrest and prosecution of the person(s) behind the rumour circulated on social media that it declared one Najeem Oyewumi wanted over the murder of one Wole from the Ife south council area of the state.
It also disclaimed the alleged unfounded press release, which it said was made public by the unknown perpetrator.
The Command’s PRO, SP, Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin who made the disclaimer in a statement made available to newsmen in the state said the press release did not emanate from the Police at all.
He added, “the Police Command is urging the members of the public to disregard the press release in its totality”
