Sociopolitical activist Deji Adeyanju has revealed why he stopped supporting Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi.
Adeyanju revealed that he had withdrawn his support for him after their three-hour meeting.
According to the activist, Peter Obi is no saint and is just like the rest of us when it comes to corruption.
Adeyanju claimed Obi told him he had invested billions of Anambra State dollars in his family business and was still trying to justify it in a series of tweets on Monday.
He believes Peter Obi is the best candidate among those who have declared, particularly with his cost-cutting theory, but he is no saint.
“The real reason I stopped supporting Peter Obi was after a three-hour meeting at his request,” Adeyanju tweeted. “He told me he invested billions of Anambra State funds in his family business,” he explained. He also said several other things. SMH!”
“I believe Peter Obi, with his cost-cutting theory, is the best candidate among those who have declared, but he is no saint.” He’s just as bad as the others. “Investing Anambra funds in hisp family business is the pinnacle of corruption and abuse of office,” Adeyanju said.
