2023: NNPP Postpones Senate, Governorship And Presidential Primary Elections
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) on Saturday announced the postponement of its Senate, Governorship and Presidential primary elections.
The NNPP announced the postponement in a statement made available to TrackNews on Saturday via the party’s official Twitter handle.
According to the party statement, its decision to postpone the primaries follows the extension granted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for political parties to submit their list of candidates for the 2023 general election.
The NNPP said a new date for the conduct of the primaries will be communicated in due course.
“Following the adjustments of INEC activities which gave political parties more time to submit the names of their candidates the National Working Committee of our party #NNPP has postponed its scheduled Senate, Governorship and Presidential primary elections until further notice.
“A new date and time will be fixed and made available to the relevant authority as well as the general public, thank you Nigerians.,” the statement read.
