2023: Olomu most qualified for Sagbama/Ekeremor seat – Varsity Don

Ahead of the commencement of campaigns for the 2023 general elections, a lecturer at the Federal University, Otuoke in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, Dr. Oyintonyo Michael Olomu has described Hon. Michael Olomu was the most qualified to represent the state for the Sagbama/ Ekeremor Federal constituency in 2023.

Oyintonyo Michael Olomu, who is the wife of Olomu, the frontline All Progressive Congress (APC), candidate for the Sagbama/ Ekeremor Federal constituency seat noted that among all the candidates jostling for the seat from Bayelsa, her husband is the most qualified both in academics, ability and capacity to offer effective representation for the people of the constituency more than they have experienced in the past.

Dr Olomu, who is the Head of Department of Sociology in the Federal University, Otuoke speaking with newsmen in Yenagoa explained Hon Olomu has a pedigree of performance.

“He is the most qualified, a refined leader, young, energetic and pragmatic. He has managed human and material resources of the family and positions of trust as Senior Special Assistant to different Governors in the State as well as Special Adviser to different Chief Executive Officers /Managing Directors including the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC),” she said.

According to her, the last 13 years of her marriage to Hon. Olomu with four wonderful children have shown her that the Sagbama/Ekeremor Federal constituency deserved her husband to represent them at the National Assembly.

“He has shown capacity, compassion at the home front and display capability as a mentor and philanthropist per excellence with an innate drive to impact his people positively driven by service for the betterment of the masses,” she added

Dr Olomu who also doubles as the Managing Director of Michael Bless Olomu Foundation, said the foundation which was incorporated in 2014 and set up by her husband has impacted on the lives of over 3,000 persons by intervening in the health and educational needs of the people without political bias, age, location, faith or status.

While debunking news on social media that age, experience and status counts against his candidature, she described her husband as a prepared leader whose pedigree as a former students leader, activist and loyal follower has prepared him to present himself to deepen democracy and present himself to serve his constituents to enthrone prosperity to youths, women and men in the Sagbama Ekeremor Federal Constituency.
