2023 Presidency: PDP Is Ready To Salvage Nigeria – Oni
A former Ekiti governor, Segun Oni, has stated that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is ready to rescue Nigeria from the clutches of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, Oni stated the just-concluded National Convention of the party shows that the PDP is stronger and ready to win the 2023 presidency.
He appealed to the newly elected executives to begin the purposeful task of endearing the PDP to Nigerians ahead of the upcoming general election.
Oni congratulated the newly-elected chairman of the party and former Senate President, Iyorchia Ayu, describing the emergence of the new exco as a good omen for the party.
The former governor also rejoiced with PDP leaders, governors, legislators, and all members of the party on the successful conduct of the convention.
He urged party members and stakeholders to build on the success of the convention by putting their differences aside and working together for the progress of the party.
“As a party, we are set to work with Nigerians to help Nigeria to rise like a phoenix from hopelessness, poverty and insecurity, to the summit of governance where no one is left behind.
“We make bold to say that we have learnt from the errors of the past, and we are poised to unleash the limitless potential of our nation for the common good of all,” he said.
