2027: Group Calls Dogara To Contest For Senatorial Seat
A political group under the auspices of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi South senatorial district has called on former House of Representatives Speaker, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, to join the senatorial race in the 2027 general election.
The group, ‘Association for Political Stability,’ is under the Zonal Chairmanship of Haruna Abubakar Ajiyan Galambi, who spoke at the Kirfi/Alkaleri Council Areas’ joint collaborative meeting on Yakubu Dogara to aspire to the Bauchi South senatorial seat in the 2027 poll.
Galambi said the group’s resolve to root for Dogara for the senate seat is borne out of the desire to have a credible and tested politician to occupy the seat, whose past performances became a yardstick for emulation by any politician of his/her Breed.
According to Galambi, Dogara had during his tenure as speaker contributed immensely to both human capital and infrastructural development of not only Bauchi State and North East geo-political zone, but the entire country as well.
