Akpabio Took N4bn For Constituency Project, It’s Time To Ask What The Projects Are About—Femi Falana
In a video recently shared by Channels TV, Femi Falana, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, urged Nigerians to hold their legislators accountable for the use of public funds.
Falana specifically stated Senate President Godswill Akpabio took 4 billion naira for constituency projects and some other senators took 500 million naira for constituency projects
Falana encouraged Nigerians to ask their lawmakers in Abuja detailed questions about these projects to understand how the funds are being used. He said that this level of scrutiny is essential for ensuring transparency and accountability at all levels of government.
In Falana’s words: “I am also pleading with Nigerians to ask the legislators, those who took 500 million naira in Abuja; the Senate President Godswill Akpabio that took 4 billion naira for constituency project, this is the time to ask what these projects are about.
We must ask each of the legislator in Abuja so that we can begin to take accountability seriously. We must demand accountability in all tiers of government.
