Anambra PDP reschedules congresses
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State has postponed the House and National Assembly Congresses over the sit-at-home order of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The House of Assembly congress originally scheduled for Wednesday was shifted till Thursday, while the National Assembly congress salted for Friday will hold on Saturday.
A statement by IPOB’s National Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said the dates to sit-at-home were Wednesday and May 26 because their leader, Nnamdi Kanu, would be appearing in court on such days. He added that the Monday sit-at-home had been cancelled.
