Awolowo Dosumu Refuse to Discuss the Tinubu/Shettima Ticket
Ibekimi Oriamaja Reports
Mrs. Olatokunbo Awolowo Dusumu, the executive director of the Obafemi Awolowo Foundation and chairman of African Newspapers of Nigeria Plc, has urged the public to disregard false information being spread in her name regarding the Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to a statement released yesterday, she was misquoted in the false news that was spread online by various news outlets and on social media as warning Nigerians of a scheme to replace Tinubu with Shettima if they win the 2023 presidential election.
Dosumu called the allegation fake, malicious, and wicked and said she hadn’t recently spoken to any journalists about anything, including the 2023 presidential race and its contenders.
I don’t participate in partisan politics, and I haven’t for many years. I haven’t endorsed or denounced any particular politician or political group. I don’t intend to do that.
“I won’t get drawn into a situation I don’t understand. I implore whoever is responsible for this heinous deception to use their time more wisely on the growth and development of Nigeria,” she stated.
As we navigate these difficult times, Dosumu asked Nigerians and everyone everywhere to help the nation in whatever manner they can while ignoring the confusionists and promoters of blatant lies.
