Aganaba said the removal of the oil subsidy by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, was the right thing to do, as the subsidy was an albatross crippling the nation. He urged nigerians to be patient as the positive effects of the removal will be apparent in the coming months.

He also dismissed the purported court cases against the President by those who lost out in the Presidential elections, describing the whole thing as a social media hype, which left the plaintiffs without evidence to prove their case in court.

The APC Chieftain also stressed the notion that the recent appointment of service chiefs was lopsided or reeked of nepotism was wrong. He maintained that the four service chiefs came from four different geopolitical zones.

Speaking on President Tinubu cabinet formation, Prince Aganaba said the cabinet will likely be made up of technocrats and seasoned politicians.

He also told naysayers to jettison the rumors of a fabled crisis in the Bayelsa APC over the impending ministerial nominees as nothing could be further from the truth.

On governor Douye Diri’s second term bid, Aganaba said it seem Diri’s administration has no clear idealogy on how to develop the state. He said there is no clear cut path to development on their agenda.

“As a state, we need to align with the center to move the state forward. Talking about the development strides, the indices are very poor, bayelsans are feeling the pinch.”
