Bayelsa PDP holds ward congresses as new leaders emerge
**Gov. Diri participates at Sampou/Kalama Ward
***charges new executive to foster unity
Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State today participated in the ward congresses of his party, the People’s Democratic Party that held across the 105 Wards in the State.
The Governor who was at his Sampou/Kalama Ward 6, in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area said after the election that Sampou/Kalama remains as a stronghold of the PDP.
The Governor while congratulating members of the newly elected executives, also charged the Party Chairman, Mr. Fetuga Sunday Charles to carry everybody along in order to have a smooth and successful tenure.
Among dignitaries who accompanied the Governor to the ward Congress include, Dr. Woyengikuro Daniel, National Financial Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon. Solomon Agwana, Caretaker Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Bayelsa State Chapter, Dr. Isaac Kumokou, Immediate past Caucus Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, Deacon James Dugo, former Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, Bayelsa State Chapter and other leaders of the Party in Ward 6, Sampou/Kalama.
