Bayelsa State House of Assembly Fix Thursday 18th April 2024 For Screening and Confirmation of 14 Commissioner Nominees

Governor Douye Diri had sent a letter containing the 14-man list of Commissioner nominees to the House requesting the legislators to screen and confirm appointment.
The letter dated 5th April, 2024 was read on the floor of the house on Friday during legislative session, where the lawmakers deliberated and fixed Thursday for their screening.
The nominees include some former Commissioners, Diriyai Dambo (SAN) who was Commissioner for Justice, Maxwell Ebibai who headed the Finance Ministry, Moses Teibowi was Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, George Flint was in charged of Special Projects Bayelsa Central , Jones Ebieri was Commissioner for Mineral Resources, Daniel Igali was for Youths and Sports, Gentle Emelah headed the Education Ministry and AYIBAKIPREYE BRODERICKS was in charge of the Special Projects Bayelsa East.

While the new nominees include; Komuko Akari Kharim, Perepuighe Biewari,Peter Afagha, Koku Obiyai, Bidei Elizabeth and Micheal Magbisa.
The Bayelsa State House of Assembly also received another letter from the Governor requesting the house to screen and confirm Dr. Eniekezimene Daniel Esetebafa as the Chairman, Bayelsa State Board of Internal Revenue.
Dr. Eniekezimene whose screening is fixed for Tuesday 16th April, 2024, is billed to replace the former Chairman, Dr. Nimibofa Ayawei who was recently appointed as the Secretary to the State Government.
