Bola Tinubu is the one pressuring us not to go into retirement from politics- Nasir El-Rufai

According to a news that was published by the Leadership paper Online this morning, it was reported that, as May 29, 2023 draws closer, state governors who lost their senatorial bids, or did not even contest for any elective positions, are already in search for new jobs.

It was reported that while some governors of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had hoped their party will win the presidential election, the defeat of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, at the February 25, 2023, has left them with low job prospects in government.

However, Leadership reported that, while Nasir El-Rufai, was speaking to her correspondent, the governor of Kaduna insisted that it is the president-elect, Bola Tinubu that is pressuring him not to go into retirement now.

He said, “Bola Tinubu is the one pressuring not to go into retirement from politics. I have decided to retire from politics after my governor seat.”

However, while a political loyalists of the Governor Nasir El-Rufai, who does not want to be mentioned was given update on the development, he said that El-Rufai has been penciled down for an appointment at the federal level by the incoming administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, but, he did not disclose the exact appointment it is.
